CLV (Closing Line Value) measures how much better your bet odds were vs. the @ CURRENT/CLOSE line (Pinnacle when available, Circa Sports as fallback) — a sharp market proxy for beating the true line.
Weighted CLV weights each bet by the amount risked:
Σ(clv × risk) / Σ(risk)
A $200 bet with +2% CLV counts 10× more than a $20 bet with +2% CLV. This rewards players who find edge on their bigger plays, not just their small ones.
Positive CLV = beat the closing line = long-run profitable signal.
